On 14-15 February 2024, students from UTM, participated in the pre-emptive presentation of business plans aimed at solving sustainability issues, developed in the framework of the project ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-2, No. 101081787 – Skills4future: Developing and improving STEAM skills of students and teachers for curriculum innovation and sustainable development of higher education institutions and local businesses.
Four groups of students from the Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business, as well as from the Faculty of Computer Science, Informatics and Microelectronics are involved in a Sustainable Business Plan competition, carried out within the framework of the project. The business plans to address sustainability issues were designed according to the model proposed by the project participants. At the preventive support stage, the students benefited from the carefully formulated recommendations of professors LITVIN Aurelia, ZBANCĂ Andrei and GUMENIUC Ina on the optimization of the business plans and presentations. These adjustments were designed to ensure that, at the final stage of the competition, the plans presented would be of the highest quality. The following ideas were developed in the business plans: “The sustainable development of the modern business of producing proteins of animal origin from insects”; “The coffee station”; “Reduction of paper consumption and digitalisation of events”; “Frendly”.
The final round of the sustainable business plan competition will take place in March 2024.
