


On September 29, 2023, at ALECU RUSSO BALTI STATE UNIVERSITY, within the framework of the ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-2 project, No. 101081787 – Skills4future: Developing and improving the STEAM skills of students and teachers for curriculum innovation and sustainable development of higher education institutions and local businesses, the third STEAM Fields and SOCIAL Challenges workshop took place.
The purpose of this event was to bring together students, teachers, entrepreneurs, and representatives from civic organizations to discuss urgent social issues and innovative solutions.
The workshop addressed topics such as the debate on social issues, the role of local entrepreneurship in addressing these challenges, the integration of individuals with disabilities and socially vulnerable people into the workforce, and support for refugees from Ukraine. A special moment during the workshop was a presentation on workplace first aid.
The participants discussed the perspectives of social entrepreneurship development in the region and the legal aspects of registering a social business.
The event concluded with the formulation of proposals and research topics for solving social issues through STEAM competencies.
