On May 19, 2023, the “Economy and Management” Department, Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business, TUM organized a WORKSHOP on STEAM fields and ENVIRONMENT challenges.
The purpose of the WORKSHOP is to integrate the fields of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) with ENVIRONMENT aspects regarding sustainable development in direct relation to local problems in the private and public sectors, including those with relevant innovation potential in the fields of industry, services, and agriculture.
The event was attended by representatives of the business environment, teaching staff and students of the “Business and Administration” study program.
The workshop discussions focused on the transfer of knowledge and the exchange of best practices to better adapt the curricula of the “Business and Administration” study program to the demands of the labor market.
Following the discussions, the main problems of ENVIRONMENT entrepreneurship were defined and innovative solutions were formulated to alleviate them. Or determined the directions to modernize the curricula for the students of the “Business and Administration” study program, by integrating STEAM skills. The research themes for the students of the “Business and administration” study program were outlined, which will be included in the curriculum of the specialized, undergraduate practice. At the same time, the given topics will be proposed as research topics for the undergraduate and year theses.
The workshop was organized within the ERASMUS + “Skills4future – Developing and improving the STEAM skills of students and teachers for curriculum innovation and sustainable development of higher education institutions and local businesses” project, co-financed by the European Union.
