On 21-22 September 2023, within the Faculty of Economics, Engineering and Applied Sciences, State University ²Bogdan Petriceicu Hașdeu² in Cahul, the 2nd Workshop on ²STEAM fields and the SOCIAL challenges² faced by the business environment in the region was held.
The event took place at the Business Incubator Cahul, bringing together representatives of the local public administration, NGOs, business associations, entrepreneurs, teachers and students:
- 7 representatives from the local business environment from the agriculture, finance, etc. sectors.
- 12 teaching staff from the Department of Economic Sciences, the Department of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the Department of International Relations
- 25 students from the Bachelor’s program in Business Administration and from the Bachelor’s program in Engineering and Management in the Food Industry.
During the Workshop, social challenges at the local, regional and national level were discussed and analyzed in the context of sustainable development. The work of the Workshop provided the opportunity to proactively interact in an interdisciplinary environment and to achieve a knowledge transfer with colleagues, experts and practitioners in the field. The results of the workshop demonstrated the importance of developing the STEAM skills of students and future specialists in the field of business administration, to be able to face multiple social challenges, which are oriented towards sustainable, collaborative and innovative development.
