On September 21, 2023, the Faculty of Economic Sciences, at Moldova State University held the 2nd thematic Workshop on STEAM fields and the ENVIRONMENTAL challenges faced by the local economy. The workshop was held in the “ Virgil Madgearu” Romanian Entrepreneurial Culture Center, recently inaugurated at USM.
The workshop covered a variety of environmental topics relevant to the community/local business, including- employee training and skills development, green jobs and improving living standards, sustainable investment in skilled labor and innovation, workplace safety and equal opportunities etc.
The workshop speakers included practitioners from the business environment, as well as from public and non-governmental organisations, as well as teachers and students:
- 7 representatives of the business environment, non-governmental organizations, NGOs and representatives from sectors of activity such as agriculture, energy, finance;
- 10 teachers from the Department of Business Administration;
- 31 students from the bachelor’s program Business Administration, USM.
At the end of the discussions, research topics were identified and formulated, in the STEAM fields, to be proposed to the students of the “Business and Administration” specialty, as well as ways to improve the programs for the courses perfected within the Skills4Future project.
