On May 25-26, 2023, the second ²STEAM Fields and ENVIRONMENTAL Challenges² workshop took place, organized by the Faculty of Real, Economic and Environmental Sciences of the ²Alecu Russo² State University of Bălti in the premises of the NORTEK Center.
The event brought together participants such as teachers, students and entrepreneurs who had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the challenges of sustainable development, soil protection, the environment and the circular economy in a collaborative and innovative environment.
The aim of the workshop was to identify STEAM skills that can contribute to solving environmental problems and sustainable development. The workshop was attended by personalities from various fields, including successful businessmen and professors from partner universities among which:

- Mr. Marian JALENCU, PhD, Assoc. Prof. Moldova State University;

The opening of the event featured speeches from Mrs. Valentina PRITCAN, Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations, Mrs. Ina CIOBANU, Dean of the Faculty of Natural, Economic, and Environmental Sciences, and Mrs. Nelli AMARFII-RAILEAN, institutional coordinator of the project.
Participants were encouraged to develop hands-on projects that integrate STEAM skills in an innovative and relevant way for their field of study.
