As part of the first orientation session of the ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-2 project, No. 101081787 – Skills4future: Developing and improving STEAM skills** of students and teachers for curriculum innovation and sustainable development of higher education institutions and local businesses, the event held during the Glodeni Business Forum was presented.
This event was marked by the first edition of the Universal Expo-Fair of Local Producers, organized from September 12-14, 2024. Under the Skills4future project, the event included a roundtable discussion titled **Lessons Learned – Supporting Small Producers, organized by the Bălți branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, in partnership with Alecu Russo Balti State University (USARB).
The roundtable offered participants the opportunity to share experiences regarding family businesses dedicated to local traditions and tourism, as well as producers specializing in local crafts, beekeeping, and bakery products. This session facilitated the exchange of best practices and innovative solutions for local economic development, all closely aligned with the objectives of the Skills4future project.
The Skills4future project presentation was delivered by university lecturers Maria Oleinic and Natalia Branașco, who highlighted the activities carried out under the project, focusing on the development of STEAM skills and support for local small producers.
The Glodeni Business Forum and expo-fair provided an ideal platform for promoting initiatives dedicated to economic development and sustainability, fundamental objectives of the Skills4future project, contributing to the modernization of university curricula and preparing students for the challenges of the contemporary economy.
