FIRST STUDENTS STEAM CONFERENCE

On June 6-7, 2024, Alecu Russo Balti State University hosted the Student Conference themed “Sustainable Development and Students’ STEAM Skills.” The event brought together students and professors from various universities and institutions across Moldova and was organized at the NORTEK STEAM Lab on the USARB campus.

The conference began with a welcome speech from representatives of USARB, followed by presentations on enhancing research abilities and developing students’ STEAM competencies, as well as practical solutions for local sustainability issues. Presentations from the Moldova State University focused on the impact of information systems on sustainable development and the analysis of the planning process in companies.

Students from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova presented on crowdfunding in business and evaluating organizational culture. Following these sessions, there was a discussion and feedback session for students, with conclusions and recommendations.

The second day of the conference included presentations from the Cahul Business Incubator and the National Institute for Economic Research on practical solutions for local sustainability issues. Students from the Technical University of Moldova addressed the correlation analysis of consumer price index independence and eco-economy as a pillar of sustainable development.

Finally, presentations from students at the Cahul State University (USCH) covered sustainability policies of modern businesses and the sustainable development of SMEs through the implementation of standards. The event concluded with another session of discussions and feedback for students, with final conclusions and recommendations.

The Student Conference was a remarkable success, bringing together students and faculty to discuss and present scientific papers relevant to sustainable development and STEAM skills.
