On November 27-28, 2025, the National Institute of Economic Research (NIER) organised the exploitation workshop entitled “Innovation and STEAM skills for sustainable growth of local private sectors”. The event provided a platform to share and further exploit project results and good practices, fostering stronger connections between education, research, innovation, and the private sector.
During the event, representatives from national institutions and organisations—including the Farmers Federation, the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture, the Entrepreneurship Promotion Association, the National Horizon Europe Office, Sparkassenstiftung Moldova, the National Institute for Economic Research, the Cahul Business Incubator, and the Bălți Chamber of Commerce—shared experiences and insights.
The discussions highlighted the importance of Moldova’s participation in international programs, such as Horizon Europe, which foster research, innovation, technology development, and collaboration with European partners.
Participants also visited S.A. Franzeluța to explore its production processes, sustainability practices, and market strategies, illustrating the benefits of stronger university–industry connections. The event further addressed the uptake of STEAM skills by students and teachers, the use of multidisciplinary methodologies, and the integration of economic, environmental, and socio-cultural dimensions into curricula.
The session was attended by:
- 8 teachers from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, and members from the consortium structure.
- 5 bachelor students from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova.
- 16 Practitioners from the National Institute for Economic Research, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Cahul Business Incubator, National federation of Farmers, Association for the promotion of entrepreneurship, Energy-Honey SRL, Solar Farm SRL, etc.
- 3 key stakeholders (Representatives from the Agency of Intervention and Payments in Agriculture and National office Horizon Europe).
- 2 representatives from the National office Horizon Europe (as a continuity of the Moldovan Technology Transfer Network (RTTM) and the Association for the promotion of entrepreneurship.
