On October 22, 2024, within the STEAM Center, from the Faculty of Economics, Engineering and Applied Sciences, the Third OUTREACH Session was held within Project No. 101081787 – ″Skills4future″ – Developing and improving the STEAM skills of students and teachers for curriculum innovation and sustainable development of higher education and local businesses.
This session aimed to share the institutional experience regarding the measures taken regarding the modernization of the curriculum of the Business and Administration program with STEAM elements, as well as to carry out relevant discussions about the importance of STEAM skills for modern companies to connect to the values of sustainability and Industry 4.0.
Representatives of the business environment, teaching staff and students from the Business and Administration study program were present at the event. The institutional coordinator of the project, Mrs. Todos Irina, associate professor, PhD, came with a word of greeting and informed the audience about the particularities of the Skills4future project, the basic objectives, the activities carried out in a year and a half since the launch of the project. The guests present at the event generously shared their experience, offering practical advice and inspiration to the participants.
The event highlighted the importance of soft skills such as communication, collaboration and critical thinking in building a successful career. Soft skills are essential to complement technical skills. Adaptability and effective communication make all the difference in today’s professional environment, and continuing to develop these skills can accelerate career progression.
The collaboration between universities and the business environment contributes to the education of future leaders, providing practical skills, strategic thinking and adaptation to modern challenges through real business cases and projects.
