On December 3, 2024, within the STEAM-USM Center, the second Multiplier Event took place – “Organize and carry out Multiplier Conference at the local level to spread out STEAM skills for sustainability responsibilities relevant to local business challenges”.
The event was attended by teaching staff, students and representatives of the business environment – USM stakeholders.
As invited speakers were representatives of the local socio-economic environment, namely:
– Dorina ROȘCA, PhD, specialist in socio-economic development, President of the European Institute for Development Studies;
– Elizaveta KADÎROVA, Alexei VIȘNEA, Olivia CASIAN – Startup Weekend winners with the “Inclusive Delivery” project
– Vlad POPESCU, Fleet Manager, SRL “Novo Lines”.
They had the opportunity to discuss and analyze the environmental challenges generated by the local business context. The purpose of the Multiplier Event was to identify STEAM skills that can contribute to solving environmental problems determined by the local business context in order to achieve sustainable, collaborative and innovative development of the national economy.
The Multiplier Event offered us the opportunity to interact proactively in an interdisciplinary environment and to transfer knowledge with colleagues, experts and practitioners from the real field of economics.
We note that 64 students from the “Business and Administration” specialty participated in the event.
This event was organized and held within the STEAM-USM Center of the Skills4future project – “Developing and improving the STEAM skills of students and teachers for curriculum innovation and sustainable development of higher education institutions and local businesses”, ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-2.
