On May 22-23, 2024, the “Alecu Russo” State University of Baltii hosted the round table titled “STEAM Competencies in Business Administration.”
Representatives from universities and economic institutes from Romania, Poland, and Moldova, including the Politehnica University of Bucharest, the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, the Technical University of Lodz, the State University of Moldova, the Technical University of Moldova, the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, the “Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu” State University of Cahul, and others, participated in this event.
During the round table, graduating students from Moldovan universities presented various thesis topics, highlighting the importance of STEAM competencies in the sustainable development of businesses and administration.
Among the topics presented at the “Alecu Russo” State University of Bălți were the analysis of change management processes during crises, the analysis of efficient work and time management for managers, and the implementation of an efficient and socially oriented employee compensation system.
Online presentations from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova addressed corporate social responsibility as a strategy for sustainable business, the analysis of the existing quality management system in companies and improvement proposals, and the impact of political risks on strategic business decisions.
Online presentations from the Technical University of Moldova included the development strategy foundation for SONA STAND ART LLC, development directions for the activity of CARTEA JSC based on diagnostic analysis, and development directions for PRIMAGROCONSTRUCT LLC based on diagnostic analysis.
Online presentations from the “Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu” State University of Cahul covered entrepreneurship as a means of socio-economic inclusion for people with disabilities, ensuring the quality of the management system through standards, the competitive environment analysis of companies, and the role of performance indicators of enterprises in the competitive environment.
The discussions were followed by a constructive feedback session for students, providing valuable conclusions and recommendations for improving and applying the thesis topics in practice. The event emphasized the importance of integrating STEAM competencies in higher education and highlighted the crucial role of these competencies in the sustainable development of business and administration.
The round table brought together students, professors, and experts in the field, creating a conducive environment for the exchange of ideas and inter-university collaboration. Through the presented projects, students demonstrated their ability to tackle complex problems with innovative
and sustainable solutions, reflecting the core objectives of the Erasmus+ project in promoting quality education and sustainable development.
