Peer Learning seminars Adjusting phase 2024-2025 

Three rounds of Peer Learning seminars were organized throughout the adjusting phase of the Innovative STEAM curriculum by the active involvement of bachelor students from Moldovan higher education institutions, teachers and local practitioners from different industry sectors. The activities enabled good practice transfer between EU teachers and Moldovan counterparts, as well as counselling and guidance of bachelor students for elaborating business plans with sustainability-related subjects.

  • During 12-15 February 2025, the 1st iteration of Peer Learning seminars was organized by the Faculty of Real, Economic and Environmental Sciences of Alecu Russo Balti State University, Balti. The event ensured an excellent opportunity for discussions and debates on the ideas and subjects for the development of business plans with sustainability–related issues, covering suitable topics for the entrepreneurial process of:
  • opportunity recognition,
  • idea feasibility,
  • new business models creation and
  • enterprise growth 

The discussions facilitated the transfer of knowledge in developing business plans with the support of  EU teachers from the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, Romania; Academy of Economic Studies from Bucharest, Romania, Lodz University of Technology, Poland, as well as teachers from Cahul State University “Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu”, State University of Moldova, Chisinau; Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, Chisinau; Technical University of Moldova, Chisinau, and local experts from Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova – Balti Branch.

  • During 20-21 February 2025, the 2nd iteration of Peer Learning seminars was organized by the Faculty of  Economics, Engineering and Applied Sciences, State University “Bogdan Petriceicu Hașdeu” Cahul. The event hosted fruitful discussions for good practices in elaborating business plans on sustainability-related subjects to introduce innovative elements in existing bachelor curricula in B&A and add value to the development of STEAM skills for local sustainable development.

The participation of EU teachers from the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, Romania; Academy of Economic Studies from Bucharest, Romania; Technical University of Lodz, Poland, as well as local experts from the National Institute for Economic Research, Chisinau, and the Business Incubator Cahul ensured knowledge exchange and practical solutions for local sustainability issues, products, and process innovation.

The synergy among expert teams was facilitated by the active involvement of teachers from beneficiary institutions such as  “Alecu Russo” Balti State University, Balti; Moldova State University, Chisinau; Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, Chisinau; Technical University of Moldova, Chisinau; Cahul State University “Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu”, Cahul.

  • From 13-14 March 2025, the 3rd  iteration of Peer Learning seminars was organized by Faculty of Real, Economic and Environmental Sciences of Alecu Russo Balti State University, Balti.  The event enabled the presentation of business plans on sustainability-related subjects, developed by students, discussions and feedback for improvement purposes.

The participation of EU teachers and the local business environment facilitated the development of business plans to meet the complex demand of Business 4.0, covering practical examples and social issues posed by a technology-rich world, and strategies to drive green & sustainable business models. This pre-competition seminar fostered cross-border collaboration, practical learning, and strengthened the link between higher education and local business innovation
