Outreach Session P8.USCH

On October 22, 2024, the third information session organized by Cahul State University “Bogdan Petriceicu Hașdeu” (USCH) took place. The event brought together teachers, entrepreneurs, business representatives and students to explore how STEAM education fosters innovation and sustainability. During the opening session, the project team presented the ongoing activities and achievements of the Skills4Future initiative, highlighting the advantages of participating in sustainability-focused STEAM programs. Industry guests actively contributed by sharing valuable practical insights and inspiration with participants.

Key recommendations emerged from the discussions, focusing on enhancing students’ hands-on STEAM competencies, implementing interdisciplinary projects to strengthen practical skills, and using industry best practices as case studies. These measures aim to better equip learners with relevant, applicable knowledge while supporting sustainable development through education

The information session was attended by:

  • 5 teachers from the Department of Economic Science of USCH.
  • 13 students from undergraduate programs at USCH, specialisation in Engineering and Management in the Food Industry.
  • 3 representatives from the local business sector, such as All4go – travel agency; LifeSchool; and Decade Foods.
