On December 11, 2024, the Bălţi branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova (CCI of the Republic of Moldova), in partnership with Alecu Russo Balti State University, organised the multiplier conference “STEAM skills for Economic, Environmental and Social responsibilities”. The event served as a platform to share effective approaches in STEAM education, with a focus on aligning curricula with regional economic demands.
Institutional and project coordinators opened the event by emphasising how STEAM skills contribute to sustainable development. Academic and industry experts then presented how STEAM competencies can solve business and sustainability challenges. Interactive sessions brought together entrepreneurs, educators, and students to discuss real-world applications of STEAM across different sectors. Networking encouraged collaboration between educational and business participants. The event concluded with action-oriented recommendations for the Skills4Future project.
The information session was attended by:
- 4 teaching staff from the Faculty of Real, Economic and Environmental Sciences, USARB.
- 7 bachelor’s degree students from the Faculty of Real, Economic and Environmental Sciences, USARB
- 24 local entrepreneurs from different sectors: SC “Agigeea” SRL; SC “Evlivi Max”; SC “Silver Boost” SRL; “Kivrok” SA; “Nadya Capitols” SA;
- 3 key local stakeholders from the Agency for Regional Development, North.
