On December 05, 2024, the National Institute of Economic Research (NIER) organised the multiplier conference “STEAM skills for Economic, Environmental and Social responsibilities”. The event served as a platform to share effective approaches in STEAM education, with a focus on aligning curricula with regional economic demands.
The event fostered meaningful dialogue between business leaders, educators, and academic representatives, highlighting the growing importance of STEAM skills for future business administrators. Through panel discussions and workshops, attendees explored practical ways to strengthen collaboration between educational institutions and industry partners to better prepare students for real-world challenges.
The program also featured presentations on NIER’s role in cultivating STEAM skills that address economic, environmental and social responsibilities, demonstrating how these competencies create tangible business value while supporting sustainable development goals. These exchanges provided concrete examples of how academia and industry can work together to develop job-ready graduates.
The session was attended by:
- 10 teachers from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, Trade Cooperatist University of Moldova.
- 21 bachelor students from Trade Cooperatist University of Moldova.
- 16 Practitioners from the National Institute for Economic Research, Agrifood business representatives (peasant farms, Joint Stock Companies, distributors of inputs, etc.)
- 3 key stakeholders (Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry -2, Sparkassenstiftung Moldova – 1)
