“Multiplication Event on STEAM Competence Development: Aligning Curriculum to Local Development Needs for Sustainable Economic Growth”

On November 7, 2024, in the framework of the ERASMUS-EDU-CBHE project “Developing and improving STEAM competences of students and teachers for curricular innovation and sustainable development of higher education institutions and local businesses,” the second Multiplication Event took place.

The Multiplication Event was organized within the STEAM Centre, aiming at disseminating good practices in STEAM competence development in higher education. Discussions included ways to align the curriculum to local development needs.

The event was organized in a hybrid format within and was like a panel within the International Economic Conference, held at FIEB Faculty, UTM. This form of organization added diversity to the discussions on economic topics by integrating complementary expertise. The Erasmus+ Skills4Future project has played a key role in supporting this initiative, ensuring that the topics addressed are in line with the latest trends in education and training. Erasmus+ Skills4Future contributed not only to the organization of the event, but also to the promotion of academic mobility and interaction between students, researchers and teachers from different European universities.

At the end of the event, the perspectives for the future in terms of integrating economic competition with sustainable development were outlined.

In this sense, the Multiplication Event demonstrated that sustainable economic development is not only a global necessity but also a business opportunity.
