On October 10, 2025, the Agri-food economics and rural development department of NIER, AESM, organized the Meeting dedicated to the lessons learned within the framework of the International ERASMUS+ Skills4future Project ”Developing and improving the STEAM skills of students and teachers for curriculum innovation and sustainable development of higher education institutions and local businesses”.
The event were opened with 3 presentations provided by NIER team members within the skills4future project dedicated to the role of socio-economic research institutions in supporting businesses in the Republic of Moldova, the practical aspects of the support provided by the Agri-food economics and rural development department of NIER to businesses in the agricultural field, as well as the generalization of the activities carried out by NIER within the skills4future project. The event followed with the presentation of the importance of STEAM skills for AESM students.
Taking into account the main developments of the national economy, but also of the agricultural sector, and the vulnerabilities they face, the importance of environmental aspects in the Republic of Moldova was discussed, with a focus on agricultural businesses in particular and the agricultural sector in general.
The event brought together students, practitioners, representatives of the business environment, civil society and central public bodies.
