On February 15, 2024, within the Faculty of Economic Sciences, USM, a unique event took place – the first stage of the Innovative STEAM Business Plan Competition, held within the Erasmus+ Skills4Future Project – “Developing and improving the STEAM skills of students and teachers for curriculum innovation and sustainable development of higher education institutions and local businesses”.
Students of the Business and Administration specialty of the partner universities in the Republic of Moldova – the Moldova State University, the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, the “Alecu Russo” Balti State University, the Technical University of Moldova and the State University “Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu” from Cahul – developed and presented innovative business plans, focused on the three pillars of STEAM – Economic, Social and Environmental. Another objective was to ensure the sustainable development of the proposed business ideas.
We congratulate all participating students for their excellent performance in the competition, with the effort they put into developing quality business plans and presenting them in good English!
The evaluation committee was formed by the European experts of the Skills4Future project – professors Elena Fleacă, project coordinator, University Politehnica of Bucharest, Grigore Piroșca, Academy of Economic Studies from Bucharest and Andrzej Marcinkowski, Technical University of Lodz, Poland.
At this intermediate stage of the Contest, 21 Business Plans were presented for evaluation, of which 11 business plans were supported at the meeting organized at the Moldova State University.
Students of the first and second year, full-time studies, majoring in Business and Administration, USM had the happy opportunity to participate in this presentation session of the innovative STEAM plans.
We wish success to all participants in the final stage of the Contest, which will take place this March.
