Exploitation Workshop – EW1_P8.USCH

On 24 November 2025, the 1st Exploitation Workshop entitled “Higher Education as a driver for entrepreneurship and innovation” was hosted by the STEAM Center within the Faculty of Economics, Engineering and Applied Sciences, State University Bogdan Petriceicu Hașdeu of Cahul. The workshop was organised in two thematic sessions aligned to highlight the role of higher education in innovation and entrepreneurial skills development.

  • The first session focused on university–industry collaboration, emphasising the strategic role of universities in fostering innovation, integrating STEAM principles into governance, and supporting innovative students, with good practices showcased from the Skills4Future project.
  • The second session brought together representatives of the regional business environment, who shared practical perspectives on entrepreneurship and the skills required for Business 4.0. Contributions from the Winemaking Cluster of the Cahul Region and the Cahul Business Incubator highlighted the role of clusters and incubators in supporting innovation, regional entrepreneurship, and cooperation with universities.

The workshop  was attended by:

  • 7 teachers from the Department of Economic Sciences, the State University Bogdan Petriceicu Hașdeu of Cahul.
  • 24 bachelor’s degree students from different specializations such as “Business and Administration”, “Accounting”, USCH.
  • 2 practitioners from different operating sectors: Winemaking Cluster in the Cahul region, “Pana Estates” Winery
