On June 27, 2024, the Agri-food economics and rural development department of the National Institute of Economic Research (NIER)organized the Outreach session regarding the implementation of the ERASMUS+ international project / ”Developing and improving the STEAM skills of students and teachers for curriculum innovation and sustainable development of higher education institutions and local businesses”- Skills4future.
The event focused on discussions regarding the current need to improve the existing license programs in the field of Business and Administration, which will also benefit the Central Public Bodies. The representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry present at the event noted that the activity of the business environment in the future depends on the new generation of students and their knowledge, which will have a direct effect on the national economy in general, and the development of the agricultural sector, in particular. In this sense, the policies developed by the central public bodies will have to respond to the current needs and will largely depend on the development of the business environment.
The discussion was attended by both students and guests from the local business environment. The information session was attended by:
- 8 Teachers who activate at ASEM, UCCM, USM
- 8 Students from bachelor pragmas of ASEM, USM and TUM
- 27 Practitioners from NIER;
- 6 key stakeholders (Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, National Federation of Farmers of Moldova, business representative, IFAD MD, German Sparkassenstiftung Moldova)
