Between May 15 and 16, 2025, within the framework of the ERASMUS-EDU-CBHE project – “Developing and improving STEAM competences of students and teachers for curricular innovation and sustainable development of higher education institutions and local businesses” – SKILLS4FUTURE, the second round of supporting the bachelor’s theses of graduates of bachelor’s degree programs in the field of Business and Administration was held.The host partner of the event was the Cahul State University “B.P.Hasdeu”, but all partner universities from the Republic of Moldova participated in the event: the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, the State University of Moldova, the Technical University of Moldova, the Balti State University “Alecu Russo”.
The topics addressed by the students concerned current social, economic and environmental issues, analyzed through the lens of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) competencies. The development of the bachelor’s thesis represents an important stage in the academic and professional training process of students.
The students’ bachelor’s theses were analyzed by European Partners – professors from European universities, who provided individualized feedback on the scientific content, research structure and relevance of the topics addressed. Recommendations were also formulated for improving the works and strengthening the research methodologies, in accordance with academic standards.
The main purpose of the event was to assess the technical, analytical and critical understanding skills demonstrated by final year students in relation to the contemporary dynamics of ecosystems, societies and economies. The aim was to verify how they manage to integrate the theoretical knowledge acquired during university studies with the complex and interconnected realities of today’s world.
The event offered a multidisciplinary educational context, which supported:
- testing students’ critical and systemic thinking capacity;
- leveraging STEAM skills in addressing real and current issues;
- developing a coherent and reasoned academic discourse;
- promoting civic and professional responsibility in relation to societal challenges.
The graduating students presented their bachelor’s theses with professionalism and commitment, highlighting the rigorous research carried out during their years of study. Their presentations demonstrated a good mastery of the topic addressed, as well as remarkable analysis and synthesis skills. We wish them much success in their final defense and wish them achievements commensurate with the effort they have put in.
